The other day we were riding in the car listening to Christmas music.
Mommy was humming along and I asked, "What you singing, Mommy? Star Wars?"
I was obviously referring to the traditional yuletide carol "O Come All Ye Faithful Jedi" so the laughter was really unnecessary.

May I have your undivided attention?
I am talking a lot now, just like a proper little boy!
Some of my favorite things to say are "I'm done", "Mommy, wait" and "I need hug". Everything else involves getting someone to pay attention to me, usually my brother. I like to do silly things or make funny faces and try to get Ben's attention and I am persistent.
Some of my common phrases are
"Look at me, Ben"
"Ben, I talking to you"
"Ben, pay 'tention"
(I wonder where I learned those.)
How could you not pay attention to this face?

Trick or Treat!
Our halloween pics are a bit late hitting the blog this year due to Mommy being "busy" (whatever that means). As you can see, I went as "Bumblee refusing to wear a hat". Ben aka Darth Vader protected us with his lightsaber as we walked through the neighborhood with our friends Sydney and Emily and their families.
Although I was a sleepy bumblee (without a hat) by the end of the evening, I had a great time trick or treating and am still requesting candy on a daily basis, even two weeks later.

Blueberries
I am not, shall we say, the most adventurous eater and I was underwhelmed by the idea of blueberry picking. When I saw Ben eat one, I figured I'd give it a shot. After that, there was no stopping me and I am pretty sure I ate close to my body weight in blueberries. They were GOOD. Once we got home, I was no longer impressed with the blueberries if they weren't on the tree. What can I say, I'm a purist.
Proof that I ate and enjoyed blueberries:
I went to the Cape too!
Pool Party
We finally got some nice, warm summer weather and were able to dig the pool out of the attic. I had fun in the pool for a little while since I realized it's really just a big tub and I can play with my boats and stuff.
I also like to laugh at Ben because he's a pretty funny guy.
Hmm...this is getting boring now that Ben needs all my boats for the scenarios he's made up in his head.
I'm thirsty.
I drive Mommy a little crazy when I play outside because my favorite things to do are put the hose in my mouth (see above), eat sidewalk chalk and climb up and down the back steps. Mommy is hoping that soon will realize that there are toys for me to play with and not eat.

Good Morning, Sam!
Sometimes in the morning, Ben and I wake up at the same time. When Ben wakes up, he likes to leave the bedroom and find Mommy or Daddy.
I, of course, am unfairly confined to my crib and am forced to wail until someone comes and rescues me so you'll understand why I get a little miffed when Ben runs off without me.
Now that I am learning more words, I am able to express myself more effectively.
Ben and I had this conversation on Saturday morning:
Me (just waking up): Dada, dada, dada, dada, dada, Ben, Ben, Ben
(Then, seeing Ben trying to sneak out the door)
Me: No!
Ben: I'm going out there now
Me: No!
Ben: I'll be right back
Me: No!
Ben (walking to the window and pulling back the shade): See, Sammy, it's daytime. It's time to get up.
Me: Train!
Ben: I'm going out there now
Me: No!
Ben: Yes!
Me: Done!
Ben: Does "done" mean "yes"?
Me: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Ben: (whimper)
(Daddy finally comes in and rescues us)
If Ben can figure out how to get me out of the crib maybe I will be a little more lenient letting him leaving the room.
