Mr. Opinionated

As I close in on my first birthday, I am developing quite a personality. I am curious about everything and I want to grab as much as I can get my hands on. This usually involves everyone else's food or my brother's toys. When I find something I like, I will not be distracted. Even if Ben and I are both drinking apple juice, I must have his cup because it is automatically better.

I am cruising around holding on to the furniture. Sometime I like to move the furniture if it's in my way. I think I might try walking pretty soon. We'll see if the mood strikes me.

Happy Thanksgiving

It's my first Thanksgiving!



I enjoyed my turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.



And I helped Ben finish his pie.



The pie was my favorite part. Yay for pie!

Playing in the Sandbox

Ben and I play outside as much as we can. Soon it will be too cold and we'll have to stay indoors. Ben likes the sandbox and I like to help.

Helping

I like to put away the groceries.



And by "put away groceries", I mean "try to eat the bananas."

My First Halloween

It's my first Halloween and I have to say I am underwhelmed.

My idea was to go as "Grumpy Baby With A Cold". I thought it was a brilliant costume.


Mommy thought her idea was better and she's bigger so she won. I was "Grumpy Puppy With A Cold" at our Little Gym Halloween Party.



I had a costume change in time for trick or treating. I thought of just going as "Cute Baby Octopus" but that's way too obvious. "Grumpy Baby Wearing A Too Small Octopus Costume" is much more interesting. Not many babies could pull that one off, but I think I managed marvelously. I even got some candy (that I'm not allowed to eat). Now if they'd only been handing out cheerios and binkies, I could have gotten into that.



Maybe next Halloween, when I understand "candy", I will give in and smile.

ATL

Last weekend I went to Atlanta to visit Grammy, Papa and Gran. I was excited to go on a plane for the first time. I gave Daddy lots of hugs so he wouldn't be nervous.


Hmm, this is new.


I was happy to spend some time with Gran.


I was a little nervous sleeping in a new place so I insisted on sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's bed. Maybe next time I will be brave enough to sleep in the very nice crib in the other room.

Apple Time

This weekend I went apple picking for the first time. I had fun because I like being outside and hanging out with my family. There was a lot to see there which distracted me from trying to grab things and put them in my mouth.


I did attempt a bite of a appetizingly red honey crisp apple. My two little teeth didn't have much luck with that but I kept trying. Maybe we'll make some applesauce when we get home. That's more my speed.
